15th Annual MCH EPI Conference: Making Methods and Practice Matter for Women, Children, and Families

The 15th Annual Maternal and Child Health Epidemiology (MCH EPI) Conference offered MCH professionals a platform to share experiences, enhance knowledge, and generate new ideas for promoting and improving the health of women, children and families. The 15th Annual MCH EPI Conference brought together MCH professionals and public health practitioners from across the United Sates and the U.S.–Mexico Border. Hosted by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Maternal Child Health Bureau/Health Services and Resources Administration (MCHB/HRSA) and CityMatCH, this event offered sessions led by researchers, federal officials, advocates, health care providers and staff of state MCH Programs that help develop participants' analytic skills and knowledge base to promote program effectiveness.
During the conference, participants recognized the importance of bridging epidemiologic methods and MCH practice for effective program development, delivery and evaluation. Conference discussions focused on the application of MCH EPI methodology epidemiologic methods to improve maternal and child health outcomes.
