Tech Help: Using RealPlayer to View Multimedia Files

Video files require the program "RealPlayer" in order to play properly.
In order to download RealPlayer:

1. Navigate to www.real.com

2. Click on the button "Download RealPlayer"

3. Click the link: "Get RealPlayer - Free" located on the lower-right side of the page

4. Follow the download instructions

How to connect:

Click on the word "Video" next to the title of the session you wish to her or view.
A screen like this will pop up:

play pause button

Play/Pause
 

Click to play a clip from the beginning or from where you paused it.
Click again to pause play.

stop button

Stop

Stops playback and resets clip to the beginning.

forward button

Forward

Click and hold to Fast Forward the current clip.

back button

Volume

Click and hold the round button on the slider to adjust volume:

Description

connecting message

You will see the word Connecting while RealPlayer finds and connects to the content site.

status bar clock loading message

During loading, you will see a loading icon indicating that action is taking place, but is not yet finished; the word Loading... and the percentage complete will also be displayed.

communicating message

Indicates RealPlayer is getting additional information.

play indicator pause indicator

Status of the clip; Play play indicator or Pause pause indicator. (No icon is displayed for Stop.)

seeking starting point message

Indicates that the clip is paused while you move the Position Slider, seeking a new starting point in the clip. (The percentage is from the beginning of the clip.)
